This three-day safari combines thrilling wildlife encounters with breathtaking scenery and cultural experiences, offering the perfect introduction to Rwanda’s natural beauty and conservation success.
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide.
After a safari briefing, begin the scenic drive north through Rwanda’s rolling countryside toward Volcanoes National Park. Along the journey, admire lush green hills, terraced farms, charming villages, and spectacular mountain landscapes.
Arrive at your lodge in Kinigi in the afternoon, where you can relax and prepare for the following day’s unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure.
After an early breakfast, transfer to the Volcanoes National Park Headquarters for registration and a briefing by experienced park rangers.
You will be assigned to a habituated gorilla family and begin your trek through the dense rainforest in search of these magnificent endangered primates. Depending on their location, the trek may last between 2 and 8 hours.
Once the gorillas are located, enjoy one unforgettable hour observing them as they feed, groom one another, care for their young, and interact naturally within their family groups.
After lunch, continue with a scenic excursion to the stunning Twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo, surrounded by rolling hills and the dramatic Virunga Volcanoes. These peaceful lakes provide excellent photography opportunities and offer some of Rwanda’s most spectacular scenery.

You’ll also have time for shopping and purchasing souvenirs before enjoying lunch at a local restaurant.
